The lake was calm and sky overcast with excellent vision under the water. The North Shore was cleaned from the Campground to Ehler’s Beach and the South and East Shore cleaned from the Island to Vanden Oever’s. The equivalent of 5 cases (24/case) of beer cans were removed from the lake with a half dozen soda cans. Numerous bait cups, bait covers, lures, and plastic trash was removed. A glass baby food jar, pint whiskey bottle, beer bottle, and various glass items were also removed. The trophy for the unique item removed is a tie this year with Laura Lawsen locating and removing a gallon glass pickle jar and Brett Vanden Oever locating a Dale Earnhardt #3 soft “Frisbee”. Approximately four garbage bags of trash were removed from the shore line areas. What a way to get your morning exercise. Thanks again to the participants of the Boot Lake Clean Up and their efforts to keep Boot Lake the most beautiful lake in Wisconsin!
