Boot Lake Cleanup

We had a great day for clean up on Boot Lake.  We had several teams of snorkelers, kayakers, canoeists, and boaters helping with the task.  The weather was perfect with bright sunshine and mirror calm waters.  The clean up covered the complete shore from the North most camp site in the camp ground to Platkowski’s.  (all of Archibald Lake Road, Beach Lane, and the campground)  The trophy junk item was found by Mary Gilmeister which was the top 18 inches of a rusted out garbage can.  Many cans, bottles, bait cups, plastic bags, string of beads, paper, fishing lures, toys, and several “action figures” were retrieved and disposed of.   Special thanks to the folks who disposed of the several garbage bags of collected trash.  Bob Diedrick provided the “water taxi” with is pontoon boat which helped disperse the teams and bring them back to their cottages when finished.
